A bag of my favorite smell in the world:

Such a sweet & thoughtful little gift to brighten up my Tuesday.

November 23, 2014

Despite my unjustified headache all day today, I really had the epitome of a perfect Sunday.

After a splendid busy, busy weekend of birthday festivities and a Sunday afternoon filled with cleaning supplies, I took such solace in enjoying a borrowed iPod, cooking away a great (if I do say so myself) dinner in solitude, and finally getting to sit down to some candlelight, relax, and eat an abundance of pasta with my beau doing the same thing right next to me.

And this movie, for some bizarre reason, just absolutely warms my heart and brings a little smile to my face, every single time.

As I said: epitome of a perfect Sunday.

A surprise birthday party for one of the most loving and beautiful women I know:

Happy 25th Birthday to my Sissy!

Martina and I met when I was 13 years old.  Most girls who become "BFFFZZ" at that age tend to lose touch over the years.  While we have certainly had our ins and outs throughout our years as friends, we never lost touch.  We've grown up together; she has carried me through some of the hardest things I've ever had to get through, celebrated with me for the best of times, and she plays a huge part in the person I have become. And I couldn't be luckier to have kept this lovely girl as my best-friend-turned-sister, as she really is the most supportive and thoughtful friend one could ever wish for.

We tried to be as sneaky as we could (and I really thought I threw her off a little bit) but she had a hunch there would be a big group of us waiting for her when she came home- and she was indeed correct.  Nevertheless, I think she had a wonderful time and was extremely grateful for all the festivities, which just goes to show how much more she deserved to feel all the love she got on her special day.

Cheers to many, many more years of birthday celebrations with you kumi!

Happy 25th Birthday, Nikola!

A big quarter of a century celebration done right:  drinks with an incredible view, a delicious downtown dinner date, and even more drinks (...a lot of drinks) with his awesome friends and family.

I try to make a point to be thankful for all the great people and things my life is filled with every day, but some days are just easier than others; throughout this year on my blog, I have written long posts dedicated to this great guy and the love and gratitude I have for him, but today especially... I am incredibly thankful for him, and for the wonderful life he is sharing with me.

Another early birthday celebration, for a very special lady

I think I once said that there's nothing better than freshly manicured nails...

I was right.  But thai food afterwards is pretty sweet, too.

A cookie and a coffee to cure my Monday blues.

My life is filled with alliteration.

Ribs and Risk.

This guy is gettin' weiiiiiiiiiiirder and weirder.

It's kind of fantastic.

You know what else is fantastic?  Shopping.  Spending the morning with a coffee, browsing your favorite stores, and then spending lots of money.  Especially after being so good and not shopping for a very long time.  I would say it almost makes you appreciate it more, but while that may be true... I wouldn't ever complain about buying clothes every weekend.

Money, money, money, mooooooooney.  Money.

Has it seriously been a year?!

Time is going by insanely fast.*

*I obviously did not do anything at all today that was worth documenting... it was awesome.

November 13, 2014

I will officially be excited for this wonderfully chilly weather just as soon as I go out and buy my very nice, very expensive, and very warm winter jacket in a few days.  Yay for shopping!  I've been way too good with that lately, I think I may pass out upon entrance to the mall.

And given this cold weather, it was just one of those days at the office where fuzzy slippers are completely & 100% justified.

To quote one of the best shows of this decade:  Winter is Coming!!!!
